Simon Willison is a British independent software developer and influential AI blogger who co-created the Django web framework and built the Datasette data-exploration tool and the LLM command-line tool. He coined the term "prompt injection" in 2022 and, more recently, "lethal trifecta" (2025) and "agentic engineering" (2026); he has served on the Python Software Foundation board since 2022.
